Bottimals Founder on Podcast

My First Podcast Appearance with Carly Myer-Bentley of Spill The Berries

I recently had the incredible opportunity to join Carly Myer-Bentley, host of Spill The Berries podcast, for my first-ever podcast interview! 🎙️

It was such a special experience to share the real story behind Bottimals — how a moment of chaos in early parenthood led to inspired a comforting solution that helps babies feel calm and connected during feeding.

The Story Behind Bottimals

During the episode, I shared how Bottimals was born from one mom’s determination (mine!) to make feeding easier for both parents and little ones. What started as a simple idea turned into a patent-pending baby bottle-lovey that blends emotional comfort with practical design. We talked about the science behind scent, bonding, and baby behavior — all of which inspired our mission to create products that help babies feel secure when parents can’t always be close. You can learn more about that story on our About Bottimals page.

Real Talk on Entrepreneurship and Business Strategy

Carly and I also had some open and honest conversations about what it’s really like to build a business from scratch. We discussed:

  • 💡 The emotional highs and lows of entrepreneurship
  • 💬 How to make smart financial decisions as a startup founder
  • ⚙️ The constant balancing act between motherhood, innovation, and leadership

It was refreshing to have a transparent conversation about the business side of creativity — something that often gets glossed over. For anyone thinking about launching their own product, this episode is packed with insight and encouragement.

Gratitude for Community

After recording with Carly, I felt such deep gratitude — not only for the chance to share my journey, but for the community of moms, entrepreneurs, and dreamers who make this all possible.

Every message, every review, and every shared story reminds me that no one builds anything meaningful alone. It truly takes a village — to raise a child and to raise a startup.
